The Methods
Micro Rings
Micro ring hair extensions are currently the most popular extension service offered at salons. They add length and thickness by affixing individual pre-bonded strands to the natural hairline using copper-coloured rings. Micro rings are low maintenance and cause minimal damage when fitted properly as they require no heat, glue or adhesive.
This technique is best suited for those with thick and/or dark hair.
Nano Rings
Nano rings are metal rings that are 90% smaller than the standard micro ring. They were created as a discrete alternative for those with thin hair.
Nano ring hair extensions are fitted by securing individual strands to small sections of natural hair using tiny metal rings.
This method is best suited to those with thin and/or light blonde hair.
Tape-in Extensions
Tape-in hair extensions have gained increasing popularity in recent years due to their ability to blend beautifully and seamlessly with the natural hairline. They are small pre-taped wefts that are sandwiched between sections of the natural hair.
Keratin Bonds
Keratin refers to the structural protein responsible for composing hair, skin, and nails. Keratin bonds are keratin-tipped bonds that are melted and fused along the scalp using a heated tool to form a secure bond.
Keratin bonds are small and undetectable, making them a suitable alternative for those with thin hair.
Micro Ring Weft
Micro ring wefts combine hair wefts with silicone-lined micro rings to produce luscious Insta-worthy locks. This is a short procedure that causes minimal damage when fitted correctly.
Celebrity Weave
The increasingly popular celebrity weave offers maximum comfort due to its discrete and nug design. The weave is installed by forming a track along the natural hairline which is then looped through silicone-lined micro rings.
