What you will Learn During Our Hair Extension Courses

Rules and Regulations

Education and personal development are core to our business ethos, as we strive to transform our students into both excellent hair extension technicians and business operators. At the start of your course, you can expect to receive education on the regulations and health and safety requirements surrounding professional hair extension application. Teaching our students how to work safely and effectively is particularly important amidst the current chaos of the coronavirus pandemic – a time where vigilance and care carry more weight than ever before. We will also ensure that you have a solid comprehension of contraindications before progressing further.

Consultation

In-depth consultations are an extremely important part of the hair extension application process, as they are your chance to establish trust and rapport with the client. Not only does this ease all involved parties’ minds, it also allows the technician to establish the most suitable application method for the client in question. During these sessions, we will also teach you how to master the art of colour matching – a technique essential for creating seamless hair extensions that blend perfectly to create a natural look.

Application

Whilst professionally fitted hair extensions are far less damaging than clip-in hair extensions, incorrect application and removal can be detrimental to scalp and hair health. During these sessions, students of Flawless Hair Extension Academy will be taught how to section the hair and subtly apply the extensions carefully using the correct amount of pressure. Students will be taught placement strategies depending on the clients’ needs such as lengthening, volumizing and colour enhancing.

We will also teach you how to remove professional hair extensions safely.

Cutting, Blending and Styling

During your course at Flawless Hair Extension Training Academy, we will teach you how to cut extensions and effectively blending them into the client’s hair. You will also learn how to feather and layer the extensions to help them frame the client’s face and blend seamlessly with their organic hair to achieve a natural look.

Marketing

Once you have completed your theoretical and technical training, we will teach you how to build and launch a successful hair extension business from bringing on board clients through to aftercare and retention. A heavy emphasis will be placed on social media marketing, focusing on Instagram as a proven successful vehicle for fuelling brand awareness and engagement.

Graduation

Upon completion of your course(s), we will continue to provide you with lifetime support and aftercare (even after qualifying) via our dedicated learning platform. Professionally fitted hair extensions, on the other hand, are lightweight and when installed correctly, do not tug the hair. For this reason, professional hair extensions are gaining increasing popularity.

Please note that there is no "one size fits all’ approach with professional hair extension application. Each client is different and hair extensions may be completely unsuitable for some individuals. We do, however, offer alternative courses such as our Online Ladies Mesh Integration System which may be for individuals suffering from hair loss due conditions such as alopecia and the thinning of hair.
